STORYLINE

DIRECTED BY ALZBETA KOVANDOVA

Screen Shot 2019-03-04 at 16.04.47.png

An interplay of horizontal and vertical lines, as well as other types of lines, found in in the public space,
evokes a lyrical narrative combining them into a visual continuity in one image. Among found objects, events,
and spaces, new relationships and continuations are created.

ARTICLES:

1) Through Eyes of American Journalist Daniel Walber

2) "The storyline" is the first screened movie and a huge positive surprise. Words of appreciation for the author - Alzbeta Kovandova - for filming the whole on a 35 mm tape, which practically does not happen today. The director put on an unusual form, mesmerizing viewers with images of mutually interacting lines that we encounter in public space. Watching the next frames, it reaches us that the whole world is really composed of vertical and horizontal lines. The end result is the most impressive, in which the author shows the interconnected images, constituting a coherent whole. A beautiful metaphor of the modern world, which is potentially very different, but nevertheless constitutes one compact structure.
